The 1859 population census is published in 1863 and consists of 5 volumes. Only Volume 1 is corrected (to third part C). Volume 1, first part includes the local division into houses, households, and inhabitants.
Volume 1, second part covers the destination of uninhabited houses of each domicile.
Volume 1, third part A consists of columns with municipal information on houses, ships, households, total number of inhabitants, and birthplace.
Volume 1, third part B consists of columns with municipal information on civil status and domicile. Also included are 8 columns with missing, deaf, and blind persons.
Volume 1, third part C includes the division into religion for each municipality.
